Initiatives

Green Cool School Network

We are excited to inform you about our “Green Cool Schools Network.” Our aim is to connect schools and teachers from different countries so they can share green projects and ideas with each other. This includes implementation, maintenance, and integration of green initiatives into teaching. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your Green Cool Schools initiatives on our website. Furthermore, we are looking forward to your participation in our networking events starting in autumn 2024. The Green Cool Schools Network receives funding from Erasmus+.

Good practice examples of initiatives

At the heart of our project is the collection of various examples of greening projects in schools from different countries. The idea is to show initiatives that represent different types of greening, such as school gardens, green classrooms, indoor/vertical greening, green pergolas, raised beds, and many more. Not only actual greening efforts, but also activities such as workshops or excursions are welcome. These projects will serve as flagship examples, inspiring others and fostering the exchange of ideas among schools worldwide. We are looking for projects that are either in the initial phase, about to start, just started, completed, or ongoing.

Apply for the title of a “Green Cool School”!

All projects submitted on our website will have the opportunity to be selected as a good practice example. Our expert jury will review each submission based on predefined criteria. The criteria for evaluation are currently being developed and will be used to assess the impact, innovation, and sustainability of each project. Once evaluated, the best projects will be selected to be featured on our website. These projects will serve as inspirational examples for other schools worldwide.
