Green Cool Schools Network
The “GreenCoolSchools Network” aims to establish a comprehensive network for “Green Cool Schools.” Building on the foundation of the previous Erasmus+ project “L4GS” (Learning4Greens@Schools, Learning and Teaching Materials for Greenings at Schools), this network seeks to enhance international collaboration among schools engaged in or planning school greening projects.
The network will be initially established among partner schools located in Austria, Germany, and Spain – and will be expanded step by step from 2025. The primary goal is to foster the exchange of experiences by connecting participating teachers, enabling them to learn from each other and share their experiences, needs, and insights.
By building a network, the project facilitates the exchange of knowledge and new insights among teachers with diverse backgrounds. The international aspect brings different climatic conditions, perspectives, and experiences into practice, offering a broader perspective for both teachers and students.
As part of our project, we are collecting various examples of greening projects in schools from different countries. We invite all teachers and schools to complete our two questionnaires to showcase their initiatives. We are looking for a wide range of greening projects, including school gardens, green classrooms, indoor/vertical greening, raised beds, and more. Not only greening efforts, but also related activities such as workshops or excursions are welcome. These projects will serve as flagship examples, inspiring others and fostering the exchange of ideas among schools worldwide. All submitted projects will be reviewed by our expert jury and have the opportunity to be selected as good practice examples, which will be featured on our website to inspire other schools globally.
