A Green Wall for the Biology Classroom at BRG 6 Marchettigasse
As part of the Green Cool Schools project, our partner school BRG 6 Marchettigasse in Vienna has successfully completed the installation of a living green wall in its biology laboratory.
Wooden Pergola at our partner school in Basauri, Spain
Colegio Basauri Ikastetxea, in Basauri, has built a wooden pergola with benches to create a greener, more welcoming place to rest in the school playground. At the heart of this initiative is the active involvement of the students: this is a space created by them, with them and for them.
A New Pergola for BRG 6 Marchettigasse
In May 2026, a new pergola was constructed in the school courtyard of our partner school BRG 6 Marchettigasse in Vienna.
Network meeting at our partner school in Szentpéterfa, Hungary
The school gave us a great tour of their garden and showed the many green elements they have already created there. Green Cool Schools Award 2025/26 – Winning Projects Announced The winners of the Green Cool Schools Award 2025/26 were officially announced during our international webinar on 3 March 2026. The award recognises particularly committed schools and celebrates creative and impactful greening projects from across Europe. Schools of all educational levels were invited to submit their initiatives via the Green Cool
Green Cool Schools Award 2026/27: Submissions are now open
By submitting a project, your school automatically takes part in the Green Cool Schools Award and becomes part of the Green Cool Schools Network. Submitted projects will be presented on our platform and included in the public voting.
