We are happy to share that the first networking meeting took place on August 26, 2025 with enthusiastic teachers from the schools of Szentpéterfa and Kunsziget in Hungary. The delegation from Szentpéterfa – including the director and several teachers – was warmly welcomed in Kunsziget by the mayor, school director Liza Farkas, and representatives of the Reflex Association.
On the very first day of the school year, in September 1, 2025, we met at BRG6 Marchettigasse as part of the Green Cool Schools GROW Europe project. After a short introduction with the principal Susanna Prokopec and committed teachers, we toured the school grounds and collected ideas on how and where greenery could be integrated into the school environment.
On September 23, 2025, students from different classes took part in a brainstorming workshop on the design of the school grounds. The workshop was led by Tilman Langner from Umweltprojekte Nord e.V.

At the beginning of October 2024, we went on an excursion to Vienna and Lower Austria. All project partners and participating schools took part. This event gives the project team the opportunity to get to know each other better and meet in person, as all previous meetings have taken place online. The programme included excursions
The focus of the first project meeting at the beginning of May 2022 in San Sebastian was the internationalization of the teaching materials with interesting knowledge and country- and climate-specific facts.
Each partner country is organising its own national webinar to present local progress and share inspiring examples from participating schools.

In the first week of the school year 2025/26, we met at EMS Strasshof as part of the Green Cool School GROW Europe project to get to know the new school director, Claus Bauer. Together, we explored plans and ideas for future greening projects at the school. Many inspiring suggestions were shared – a special thanks goes to the dedicated art teacher, Manuel Prammer, for his motivation and strong interest in making the school greener. We are optimistic that the first steps can already be implemented this autumn.
