(Re)Designing the School Ground
Project Day
Urban spaces – and therefore school grounds too – actively contribute to global climate change and are, at the same time, particularly affected by its consequences. As part of this project day, pupils will learn how schools can transform their grounds to move from being ‘part of the problem’ to becoming active agents of climate adaptation.
This project day focuses on strategies for protection against extreme weather (heavy rain and heat) as well as the sustainable transformation of the entire school playground. In the process, the pupils, acting as experts, develop solutions for a sustainable and liveable school environment.
