Der Vorgang der Eutrophierung beschreibt das \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfige Pflanzenwachstum in Seen durch verst\u00e4rkte N\u00e4hrstoffzunahme. Besonders Stickstoff- und Phosphorverbindungen verursachen Eutrophierungen. Der Abbau der Pflanzenmassen f\u00fchrt zu einem Absinken des Sauerstoffgehalts im Wasser und zu vermehrter Bodenschlammbildung.
