What is/was the motivation for the project?

We have a hill at the back of the schoolyard that is not being used. The caretaker is annoyed about it because he can’t drive his lawn tractor over it.

How is/was the project financed?

We applied for a competition run by the company «Würth» and received a funding of 1000€ to redesign the hill.

What are the (planned) results?

We want to build steps in the hills that you can sit on during breaks. We also want to plant herbs and bushes to increase biodiversity. We also want to create a barefoot path so that you can enjoy nature with all your senses. Information signs should underline the importance of biodiversity. We are working with a local carpentry workshop to integrate regional craft businesses into the process. This way, the students learn not only technical background knowledge but also practical activities.
